The video was a summary of the entire French Revolution put into a catchy song cover. This made me understand a nation's whole revolution within 4 minutes. The lyrics and subtitles helped me follow along with the song so i wouldn't get back-tracked. It went over key events during the French Revolution and covered the factors that went into starting the revolution. This video was a creative way to help me increase my understanding on the French Revolution.

By clicking the legend you will be able to see the borders of countries, major cities and even the famous “March and Retreat” of Napoleon’s Russian campaign. After you have gathered your information, you will be asked to answer the questions found below and then post both the map link and your answers to your own Wiki page.

Locate the following places and briefly describe their importance to Napoleon:

1. Corsica: Where Napoleon was born, where he was learned to hate France because he had to hide in the hills with his family when they invaded

2. Egypt: Where Napoleon lost the battle of the Nile to Admiral Horatio Nelson of Great Britain Wanted to stop trade between India and Great Britain, Coninental System. conquered most of Egypt however

3. Paris: Napoleon rebuilt it and made it worthy of being the capitol of the French Empire crowned emperor there

4. London: The capitol of Great Britain where Napoleon’s biggest threat was. Wanted to conquer London to support continental system

5. Moscow: The capitol of Russia, Napoleons biggest allies march to moscow where many of his troops died

6. Elba: the island Napoleon was exiled to the first time by Great Britain. but is brought back to help French empire

When his army was marching he had to leave some men behind to guard the food lines. This thinned out his army. When he got to Russia after battling along the way, Moscow was already burnt to the ground. He then marched back in the cold where more troops perished.
